Celebrate the 2nd Annual Small Business Saturday this Saturday, Nov. 26 by supporting your local businesses!
After you’ve shopped ’til you’ve dropped the big box retailers and eaten your way through the Mall’s food court on Black Friday, take some time on Saturday to support your local small businesses! Pop into that interesting boutique you’ve always meant to visit, drop in for a bite to eat at that diner you pass every day on your way to work, or get your nails done (Men, you too can take advantage of a good manicure once in a while . . . and isn’t the holiday season the perfect time for a little manpering)!
Now for a shameless plug of one of my favorite small businesses in the Arlington, Texas area . . .
Tom’s Burger’s & Grill (conveniently located on the southwest corner of the Cooper Street exit off I-30). Tom’s has been around for a few years now. You’ll find Lance & I there on most weekends enjoying a leisurely breakfast or lunch. I recommend the Texas (Breakfast) Burrito (topped w/chili – make sure to get extra cheese) or the Bacon Blue Cheese Burger (complete with fried egg, on the special burger menu) . . . but my favorite items are the onion rings (the homemade sauce is delicious) and the hand-dipped milk shakes.
Stop by Tom’s when you’re in Arlington for a Jerry-world event, baseball game (sigh), on your way to Six Flags, or just zipping down I-30 and need a bite to eat!
